Fallacies on Anal Sex

  1. Fallacy No. 1: Men doing anal sex are gays!

This is indeed a fallacy! Enjoying anal stimulation does not mean being homosexual (somebody who is sexually attracted to members of his or her own sex) or gay and being gay do not necessarily mean enjoying masturbation play. A heterosexual (somebody who is sexually attracted to members of the opposite sex) or what they say a straight man can as well engage any type of anal play with or without sex toys, and still not be considered gay. In a simple manner, it is not because you do it, rather it is with whom you are doing it.

  2. Fallacy No. 2: Putting a sex toy or a penis into your anus is abnormal.

No, it is definitely normal! It may be beyond the norms of traditional and contemporary sex but still it is normal. The production of anal sex toys, reviews and other testimonials from adults confirming anal sex and playing with anal sex toys are pleasurable are concrete proofs. Else, government agencies especially those dealing with health, mental and social behaviors might go red alert for having numerous of misbehaving adults. The anus has so many blood vessels and nerves that are very sensitive to touch and penetration. This fact makes sex toys and the insertion of a partner’s body parts a normal way to feel pleasure on anal masturbation. Nothing is wrong with experiencing pleasurable sensations. Just make sure to verify that everything is safe and there is a mutual consent especially if you and your partner are sharing sex toys.

  3. Fallacy No. 3: The anus is messy to play with because it is not clean.

It is unfortunate that this misconception is very popular among sexually active adults. In fact, this is considered to be the main reasons why most people go against anal play, anal masturbation, or anal dildo play. If you are particular in cleanliness, apply your basics in hygiene. Take a shower before engaging in anal masturbation, anal sex, or anal sex toy play. To make you feel safer, let you and your partner wear latex gloves, finger cots or condoms. This will keep you clean and your sex toys are free from contact with any feces. Make sure to use condoms without nonoxynol-9 (used as an ingredient in various cleaning and cosmetic products) with a water-soluble lubricant as latex products, lubricants, or foams because this can be very irritating for anal sex toy or penetration.

  4. Fallacy No. 4: Using big dildos on anal sex toy plays will be too painful.

“All that is done correctly pains nobody.” Concerns about pain during anal sex or penetration are another issue. Dildos come in many sizes and widths – some are slim as fingers and lubes reduce the risks of discomforts. If anal sex toy play is done properly, pain should not be an issue. Just remember to do it slowly, use lubes, and just relax so you can enjoy pain-free anal sex toy masturbation. Both you and your partner should work up with time and patience because it is important to be comfortable when doing this activity as well as doing experiments on sex. The anus, like the vagina needs to be properly aroused and well lubricated so that your muscles would relax. The more relaxed your muscles are, the easier it is for you to enjoy its penetration. Unlike the vagina and penis, the rectum does not lubricate on its own so lack of lubrication will cause great discomforts on anal plays. There is no such thing as using too much lubes in this activity because anal tissues are very sensitive and do not respond well to the friction.
Remember, when doing anal sex play, with or without a sex toy, doing too much too soon is a big no-no!

  5. Fallacy No. 5: I will be in adult diapers when I get older if I play with anal sex toys.

This statement is the exact opposite. People who usually ended in adult diapers are those who did not experience any kind of anal penetration, with or without sex toy. The anus is a muscle and just like other muscles in your body, the more you work it the more it will get stronger. Kegel exercises and using anal sex toys will help strengthen your anal muscles and prevent the embarrassing loss of bowel control in old age.

  6. Fallacy No. 6: I have hemorrhoids so I cannot play with anal sex toys.

Having hemorrhoids does not conclude rejecting the idea of anal play. For as long as you’re not experiencing a hemorrhoid flare up or discomfort, anal sex toy play cannot cause any problem. If you feel any pain or discomforts, it is advisable that you stop immediately. If you have severe hemorrhoid flare-ups, you should consult your primary care physician before exploring anal sex plays. If your physician should allow you, remember to use lubricant to make masturbation not only pleasurable, but also less chaffing for your sensitive anal tissues!
